What is travel for treatment?

Answer: Traveling for treatment, or medical tourism, is when you travel domestically or globally to receive care services.

Traveling for treatment provides patients with better access to care or a higher level of quality care at affordable prices. We specialize in the following healthcare services:

To ensure the quality of patient care, the mymedchoices team has personally vetted several of the providers and institutions and has made comments as to their findings.

What other services does mymedchoices offer?

Answer: We have all the features you would look for in a telemedicine platform.

We can provide face-to-face access to consents, review x-rays, lab results, add users to the call in order to get your full medical team present, educational sessions, group therapy (confidential and open group), medical history, review of systems, photos of driver’s license, insurance, or medications, pharmaceutical compliance, reimbursable assessments, case management documentation, outcomes data, patient satisfaction, or any other piece of information you want to collect quickly and securely.

What is the cost to use mymedchoices’ Telehealth services as a patient and to talk to a care coordinator?

Answer: There is no cost to you as a patient to use mymedchoices, or coordinators, and Telehealth services.

Mymedchoices has partnered with your doctors, institutions, and global health providers. You do not have to pay any money to use mymedchoices Telehealth services as long as your doctor is a part of our network.

What if my insurance does not pay for the services? What if I am using a life coach, recovery coach, yoga mentor, spa treatment, dental, or cosmetic surgery?

Answer: If you are using a treatment or service that is not covered by your insurance, you will pay the provider directly for the out-of-pocket expense.

This cost will be negotiated between you and your provider, and you can pay the provider directly through the mymedchoices portal. This payment will go directly to your provider and mymedchoices does not charge any fee for the use of this service nor do we charge the patient for using the provider.

I am living in the US and want to receive quality dental care in Mexico. How do I know that I am getting the highest quality of care?

Answer: You will be able to talk directly with healthcare professionals and get their credentials.

The care coordinator will help you talk directly to your dentist, get a video of the facility and staff, check on credentials, license, and spend face-to-face time with your healthcare professional before treatment. Also, check with the care coordinator to see if mymedchoices staff has visited the site and made a recommendation on the facility. The mymedchoices team has personally vetted several of the sites and issued a stamp of approval to facilities we have accessed in person.

What if I want to find another doctor, dentist or provider?

Answer: Our coordinators will work with you to find healthcare professionals that meet your needs.

We find that most individuals want to see their own doctor. However, if you would like to check out other options please feel free to talk to our care coordinators and check out any of the other doctors, dentists, health and wellness providers, spas, coaches and facilities. Also, feel free to look for alternative treatments in other states or countries.

I am struggling with an addiction and need 24/7 telehealth services when I am unable to get in touch with my doctor. Do you have doctors on call?

Answer: We have healthcare professionals available to speak with you 24/7 every day of the year.

If you need to talk to someone anytime during the day or night and your regular therapist is not available, we have therapists and psychologists on call 24/7. You will have an assigned care coordinator who will provide you with this information. If this is a life-threatening emergency, however, you need to call 911.

You can access mymedchoices through your cell phone, tablet or computer anytime, anywhere. Just go to the mymedchoices Telehealth app and contact your provider, therapist, life coach, recovery coach or psychiatrist to access the face-to-face HIPAA-compliant portal and get immediate relief

My child oftentimes feels overwhelmed and has anxiety in school and may need to talk to their therapist during the day. How can mymedchoices help?

Answer: Our Telehealth app makes it easy for students to get in contact with healthcare professional via their computer, tablet, and phone.

We have partnered with many schools, both private and public such as universities, colleges, and daycare centers and can provide confidential access. If the child is under 18 years old, they can go to the counselor’s office where they will be given a private room and can gain face-to-face access to their therapist via the computer, tablet or cell phone.

A young adult attending a university, college, or trade school can access their therapist, life coach, addiction coach directly through our website via their cell phone, tablet or computer. Anytime, anywhere!

If your child’s school is not listed on our website, please have them contact us today. We can add them to the provider list and begin providing telehealth services to you and your loved ones.

What if I want someone to join me on my telehealth face-to-face meeting with my doctor, psychiatrist or life coach. Do you provide that option?

Answer: Yes, you can have someone join your treatment session.

You have the option to have someone join your treatment session or talk to your doctor. Together, you and your personal support can view x-rays and lab results. Your provider or hospital facility will also be able to see all participants on the call.

You can also have group sessions, both confidential and open group, or conduct education sessions and allow the participants to text or email confidential questions or comments during the educational presentation.
